CROP CIRCLES OF 1989

Up to the end of June an amazing 120 circles were reported throughout Wiltshire and Hampshire. Twenty eight circles appeared near Silbury Hill towards Avebury. They incorporated Quintuplets, with the isolated circles scattered across the field randomly, the term for these small circles are now refer to as "Grapeshots".
Scratchbury Hill, Nr Warminster, Wiltshire.

The first Crucifix formation appeared. Go to link to see more info and picture.

Cherhill, Nr Calne, Wiltshire.

The second Crucifix appeared. Go to link to see more info and picture.

Beckhampton, Nr Avebury, Wiltshire.

A single ringed circle formed in August. The ring was laid in an anti-clockwise direction, while the circle was in a clockwise direction.

Lockeridge, Nr Avebury, Wiltshire.

This was the first three ringed circle.

Winterbourne Stoke, Nr Stonehenge, Wiltshire.

A single appeared around 10th June with two smaller circles close by.

Silbury Hill, Nr Avebury, Wiltshire.

Formed early July. Go to link to see more info and picture.

Hemitage Lane, Mansfield.

Single circle. Reported 10th August.

Leez Priory Farm, Little Green, Essex.

A single circle 25 ft in diameter. Reported 11th August.

Winterbourne Stoke, Nr Stonehenge, Wiltshire.

A circle appeared in mid August with four quadrant lays. It was nicknamed the Swastika.

Corhampton Down Farm, North of Southampton, Hampshire.

On 8th June, another Triangle Triplet was reported.

Cheesefoot Head, Nr Winchester, Wiltshire.

On the 25th June another doubled ringed circle was reported. It was close to the earlier formation of 4th June.

Silbury Hill, Nr Avebury, Wiltshire.

On 15th July a Quintuplet formation appeared opposite the Hill. Another Quintuplet appeared a few days later. Over a three week period 28 circles appeared in this field.

Charity Down, Goodwood Clatford, Nr Andover, Hampshire.
